Mafarana is a rural village situated +-38KM south west of TZANEEN in Limpopo province. Mafarana Village is located along the Lestitele Valley on the R529 Provincial road.
Mafarana is thus strategically located within the Tzaneen/Lestitele Valley – South Africa’s citrus hub – this area is responsible for nearly 60% of South Africa’s export to the global world.
Mafarana Community Forum (MCF) is a civic movement aimed at spearheading service delivery, socio-economic development and community upliftment activities within Mafarana Village: a beautiful place perfectly located along the Tzaneen/Lestitele Valley in the Far Limpopo Province of South Africa, known as "the tropical and citrus paradise
MCF is thus a non-religious, non-tribal, non-political, non-partisan, non-sexist and an allinclusive forum comprised of ordinary community members and residents of Mafarana Village.
It is thus a forum through which we aim to drive socio economic and developmental transformation in Marafana Village in order to alleviate poverty, promote and generate employment levels thereby raising the quality of lives for all Mafarana Village residents.
We recognized the need to establish a long term Developmental Legal Entity to
warehouse our strategic socio economic initiatives.
Thus, MCF created Mafarana Community Development Trust (MCDT) as an important agent of change to spearhead long lasting and meaningful community improvement projects thereby “transforming and enriching lives through unity” within Mafarana Village
